General Description
The scb-1020 is an asynchronous/synchronous connuication card. It contains the upd7201a multi-protocol serial communicatin controller to perform data transfer up to 256 kbaud. The scb-1020 supports asynchronous bit and bytle oriented protocols. The synchronous protocols may be applied to monosync and bisync as well as hdlc and sdlc opertion. The rs-232 signals are interfaced to external devive via a d-25 connectorwhich provides shielding against environmental noise.Other characteristics of the scb-1020 include jumper selectable dma request (channels 1 &3) and jumper selectable interrupt requests (irq2-irq70). The scb-1020 contains switch selectable addressing to avoid conflicts with other devices in the computer. Programmable on-board clocks provide data rates for the upd7201a
