Functional Description
Madapter is required to polish rear compressor drive turbine hub p/n 4069333 to restore the front conical facesurface for eddy current inspection. Adapter is used with the compressor hub-installed in pwa71967 fixture mounted-on pwa71991polish machine rotary table with front end "up". Adapter c/o a tool body that connects to a polish machine arm at one end and has a pad holder end for retaining adhesive velcro pads and fine and ultra-fine scotch brite polishing pads

Accommodates the positioning arm of a polishing machine to fit the surface of an aircraft engine component with a contact surface conforming to the surface of the aircraft engine component to be polished. it consists of a mounting plate and a foot fabricated from an appropriate material. the mounting plate attaches to a polishing machine and the foot is specially ground to hold a pad, polishing and rubbing. the polishing machine rotates the aircraft engine component and moves the pad to contact the surface to be polished. the polishing device may be directly mounted or be attached with a section of tape, fastener, hook.
