If a locknut or bondnut is included, it shall not be considered as a thread boss or shoulder. It is primarily intended to connect conduit to conduit. It may have a removable cover to facilitate pulling wires, but does not include facilities for mounting wiring devices. For items having a removable cover to facilitate pulling wires and specifically designed for close installation in exposed outdoor locations and which may have facilities for an outside driven ground, see entrance elbow, electrical.
