Uthe afstrs system is designed to receive radio programming broadcast by the armed forces radio and television services which is transmitted at l-band by inmarsat satellites located in the pacific ocean region, the atlantic ocean region and the indian ocean region; it is an independent source of satellite radio programming; can be used by itself or can be connected to a distribution system for further processing; consists of two major sets of equipment, an indoor set and outdoor set
