The front unit can be detached from the rear unit for independent operation. Steering is accomplished, when coupled, by a relative displacement of the two units through hydraulic cylinders. The vehicle is designed for airborne-amphibious use and for all-season off-road movement over various types of difficult terrain under extreme climatic conditions.
