Built on dead wt pendulum principle to test the accuracy of all types of torque wrenches; all models are similar in gen appearance; torque applied to the i/p of the tester transmits movement to the pendulum which in turn moves a stay set indicator over a combination scale accuracy calibrated in both in.-lb and ft-lb; the stay set indicator remains at the highest reading obtained during the test until it is manually reset to zero; the reading on the scale is compared w/the reading on the torque wrench; accuracy of the torque wrench is immediately apparant
