Properties:

An item of any material, with or without threads, designed to mate with a conduit outlet or a sealing fitting, electrical conduit. It may be designed as a removable side plate cover with or without hubs. It may have provisions for draining or venting. It may be designed for the insertion and/or mounting of electrical devices, such as switches, receptacle connectors, and indicator light lenses. It may include mechanisms for the external operation of switches but does not include the wiring devices.
