Mk 44 mod 3 gun weapon system is a complete weapon system.It contains weapon, trigger/gun control uni (gcu), ammunition storage unit, and all attaching hardware & cabling.It may be powered from any 24volt, direct current(vdc) source capable of supplying 2, 500 watts of power.It has an interchangeable pintle which enables it to be mounted on a variety of platforms.Ammunition is supplied through a flexible feed chute enabling weapon system to be federal from a remote ammunition storage system.Rate of fire is set to 3, 000 rounds per minute.All firing operations are controlled by trigger/gcu, which is mounted within spade grip assembly.Trigger/gcu provides either right or left hand operation
