Glycodu (a) bearing, is a drysliding bearing having a sheet steel backing and a 0.0080 to 0.0140 inch (0, 2 to 0.35 mm) thick sintered layer of tin bronze. The sheet steel backing is of copper plated up to and including bearing thicknesses of 0.079 in (2 mm). The principal characteristic of this bearing is the covering layer of acetal resin"polyoxymethylene" which is firmly anchored in the sinter bronze. This surface layer is relatively thick, 0.0118 in (0, 3 mm) , and has pockets which serve as grease reservoirs
