Functional Description
Portable, provides qualitative measurements of flux densities between pole faces of magnets employed in oscillatory circuits of x-band & s-band transmitters; calibrated directly in gauss units of flux density; c/o 2 milliammeters in series (a group meter & a probe meter), a rheostat, & associated shunts; probe meter is inserted between poles of magnet under test & indications are read on gauss meter; probe meter uses field of magnet under test to produce a deflection when a current is passed through its coil; current required to produce this reading is then a measure of flux density; controls & indicators are located on front panel
