Special Features:

Relative axial position of rotor to stator shall be repeatable to within 50 microinch at each mechanical setting of rotational angle; output voltages shall be 730 mv plus or minus 230 mvand matched to within 60 mv; the error between the mechanical shaft angle andthe resolver readout angle shall not exceed 2.0 degrees peak to peak when measured at 5 degree increments for a full revolution

Properties:

An item consisting of a rotor and a stator inductively coupled. It usually has two rotor windings displaced from each other by 90 degrees and two stator windings similarly displaced. The output voltage(s) is a trigonometric function of the input voltage(s) and the angular displacement of the rotor with respect to the stator.
