The vx5790 arbitary waveform generato (awg) is a vxibus "d" size message based divice. Uses 10-bit words known as data points to generate waveformsfrom dc to in excess of 25mhz with an output amplitude from 50 mv to 20v ptpmaxmium clock rate of 100mhz, each data point is seperated by 10 nsec. Waveforms are generated either within the vx5790 using built-in function & pulse generators, or by down loading entire waveforms into the vx5790's memory. Function types: ramp, sine, square, triangle & pulse. Front panel bnc's: trigger in, trigger out, external clock, signal output & calibration sense. Waveform memory size: 128k data points
