An item specifically designed to protect a door from damage by limiting the full opening travel. When installed one end is attached to the door and the other end to the door frame. It has a mounting bracket at each end and at least one compression spring between the chain and bracket to absorb shock. The chain is easily detached from one bracket to allow for opening adjustments, full opening or removal of the door.
