General Description
Matl-steel. Housing contains upper steering column assembly as follows: housing tube 34.380 in min and 34.620 in max length and 1.750 in nom outside dia. Inside tube is 31.060 in min and 31.180 in max length. Inside tube rotates in ball bearings on each end and engages steering gear w/1.000 x 36 straight serrations on lower end. Lower end extends from housing 1.350 in min and 1.590 in max. Upper end extends from housing also w/1.000 x 36 serrationsand 7/8-20-unef-2a-thd w/retainer nut.Inside tube has a collar w/a retainer screw and a wire leads to an upper connection. Caution: if wheel shaft is moved from true position disassembly of lower shaft seal occurs
