Gage, l p shaft stretch; consists of a dial indicator mounted on a cylindrical block, counter bored to accept the indicator point, center bored blocks are stacked on a surface plate to reflect the stretch requirements, dial indicator is then inserted into the blocks and zeroed, placing the dial indicator into the assembled l.P. Shaft assembly will provide the torque stretch readings, l: p.Shaft nut is then torqued one flat at a time after seating to the required limits and verified at the l.P. Shaft and a nut be reapplying the gage
