Special Features:

Tuses small blood sample of whole blood, documents interaction of platelets with protein coagulation cascade from the time of placing the blood in the teg analyzer until initial fibrin formation, clot rate strengthening and fibrin-platelet bonding via gpiib/iiia, to eventual clot lysis. Time, rate, strength and stability of clot will determine whether the patient has normal, hypo-, or hypercoagulable hemostasis and will provide an indication of treatment necessary to normalize it
