Properties:

One or more tempered steel blades (leaves) ground to and marked with their respective thickness and mounted in a holder or encased within a frame or case into which the leaves fold. It is used for checking narrow slots or gaging the clearance between fitted parts. Excludes blade, thickness gage. See also gage, gap setting.
