The vibratory screed is a sliding type lightweight unit, consisting ofa single or double beam assembly, a power unit and a vibrating unit, thescreed unit maybe equipped w/retractable wheels, for easy roll back whensecond pass is required, lifting handles shall be provided on each end ofthe beam when not equipped w/retractable wheels, pull ropes shall befurnished and fastened to the ends of the beam assembly to pull and controlthe unit in operation, the power unit is a single cylinder, 3 hp, 4 cycle, air-cooled horizontal shaft engine, the vibratory mechanism is driven by thev-belt from the engine, no special rails or forms are necessary to supportthe screed unit, it shall be capable of sliding on any wooden or steel formsor 1-1/2 in. Pipe set to grade, the vibratory screed unit must be capable ofbeing lifted by two men and set back for a second pass if required duringscreeding operation
