Functional Description
Badapter is required to polish 2nd-stage turbine blade retaining plate p/n 4079623 to restore the front outer face surface for eddy current inspection. Adapter is used with retaining plate installed in pwa71958 fixture mounted on pwa71991 polish machine rotary table with forward flange "up". Adapter-c/o a tool body that connects to a polish machine arm at one end and has a polishing foot for retaining fine or ultra-fine scotch brite polishing pads

Accommodates the positioning arm of a polishing machine to fit the surface of an aircraft engine component with a contact surface conforming to the surface of the aircraft engine component to be polished. it consists of a mounting plate and a foot fabricated from an appropriate material. the mounting plate attaches to a polishing machine and the foot is specially ground to hold a pad, polishing and rubbing. the polishing machine rotates the aircraft engine component and moves the pad to contact the surface to be polished. the polishing device may be directly mounted or be attached with a section of tape, fastener, hook.
