Functional Description
Required to polish 3rd stage turbine disk p/n 4084103 to restore disk broach slot outer pressure face surface for eddy current inspectio (eci). Used with the turbine disk installed in pwa71975 fixture mounted on pwa71990 reciprocating polish machine. Consists of a tool body having a connector for a polish machine arm. A controlled travel hinge plate retains double sided tape and micro-mesh polishing abrasive(600 grit) . Cip task 41-419r0982

Accommodates the positioning arm of a polishing machine to fit the surface of an aircraft engine component with a contact surface conforming to the surface of the aircraft engine component to be polished. it consists of a mounting plate and a foot fabricated from an appropriate material. the mounting plate attaches to a polishing machine and the foot is specially ground to hold a pad, polishing and rubbing. the polishing machine rotates the aircraft engine component and moves the pad to contact the surface to be polished. the polishing device may be directly mounted or be attached with a section of tape, fastener, hook.
