Front body panel provides coverage to the marines chest area, the front body includes soft armor conforming to the ballistic performance outlined in co/pd dated 23 feb 2006 sewn into the front and back panels providing a of 1/2 inch extended coverage around the perimeter of the plate, the front body utilizes the molle attachment system, as well as offset double rows of pals webbing similiar to the mtv that allows a marine to affix various molle pockets to their carrier, the front body includes a kangaroo pocket for miscellaneous usage, the front body also has slots on the front vest section for utilization a groin protector, the front body includes 1.5 inch removable buckles to attach to the back body waist band
