Properties:

A portable instrument able to perform network troubleshooting and analysis on current systems outside the scope of a local area network (lan). It has the capability to monitor, decode, and display data traffic in an open-system environment. It also provides real-time statistical analysis of network traffic, simulate and emulate network protocols. May or may not have the capabilities of being used on a local area network (lan). Excludes analyzer, local area network (lan).
