Black fire-retardant cloth fabric with an inner core of shock absorbent material; attaches to the back of the face shield when worn with either the pasgt or civilian civil disturbance helmet with hook and pile fasteners

Properties:

An adjustable band across the back of the helmet liner used to prevent friction against the neck by the helmet. It may be used interchangeably in the ground troops' helmet liner and the parachutist's helmet liner.
