An/pas-34 clip-on short wave infrared (swir) imager (cosi) uses a swir 640 x 480 pixel focal plane array (fpa) that measures illumination between 900-1700nm wavelengths. The fpa video is processed and displayed on the internal micro-display for viewing with night vision goggles. Properties:

A combination of items, such as a receiver, infrared, display unit, and the like which converts ambient scene thermal radiation into a form of energy that accurately depicts the spatial details of the scene. It is limited to a straight or backward field of view. It can be processed electronically or may be displayed visually to an operator as a still image. Excludes forward looking infrared imaging system.
