It is compatible with joint, mse, tri tac and thsdn systems, the upgraded sss provides the tactical user an interface to strategic data networks, commercial, joint, combined and coalition communications systems across multiple security levels. A rapidly deployable, early-entry system, the upgraded sss is housed in a lms shelter and mounted on an ecv hmmwv for roll on/roll off mobility.

Provides non-secure internet protocol router network (nipr) and secure internet protocol router network (sipr) data access with embedded information assurance (ia). Facilitates h.320 and h.323 multipoint/multi-session batlefield video teleconferencing (btvc) via gfe equipment. Interoperable with mse and tri tac thsdn system. Provides subscriber and trunk multi-level precedence and preemption (mlpp) service. Supports red/black voice subscribers.
