Properties:

A continuous combustion type engine. consists primarily of a compressor, aircraft gas turbine engine, chamber, combustion, aircraft gas turbine engine and a turbine assembly, aircraft gas turbine engine. it may have an afterburner, turbine engine and/or a fan section. air is compressed and heated by a combustible fuel and expanded through the turbine. it is designed to furnish a source of rotary shaft, pneumatic power or thrust power. the pneumatic power is obtained by a bleedoff of the engine compressor. for a complete operating power unit, mounted on a base, see power unit, gas turbine engine.
