Properties:

It provides a series of pulses, or pulse reference frames of information relating to precise time data, including time of day data in binary coded decimal format, that is applied to other components for the purposes of synchronization, parameter measurement, control and performance monitoring/fault location. Excludes generator, digital clock pulse; generator, reference signal; and amplifier-oscillator.
