Functional Description
Radio personality module processes communications between the uut and the an/arm-204 test system. It contains the radio specific program used to provide semi-automated testing of the uut. The rpm is installed into the j-4843a/grm interface unit. Circuitry in the rpm includes 12 megabytes of flash memory to store the semiautomatic test program, a communications processor, uut interface circuitry, switch matrix circuitry for switching the various test scenarios, external i/o buffers, anand uut power supply conditioner. Communication ports include four rs-232 ports, two rs-422 ports, and a mil-std-1553 bus. The rpm front panel provides interface connections to the uut, rf output connector, uut fuse, power led, standard 6-pin fill connector, and the test system interface test connectors. The rpm rear panel provides external i-o ports and interface to the external power supply
