Cca 3, diod (led) 5; mounted on mpacs main frame w/2 thumbscrews, receives command position info from the computer, command position is phase coded and compared w/phase encoded mount position, analog output is produced that is proportional to the difference between the actual and the command position, output sent to servo module and used to generate drive currents for the mount during the fine sequence of the servo system
