4 ring set; prior to installation, apply a light coating of termalene ii grease (c.I.D. A-a-50433) to the packing components. During installation, prevent entrapment of air by temporarily placing a thin brass of soft metal rod between the sealing lips and the stuffing box bore while the packing is being assembled.
