Special Features:

Shall be supplied in a commercially available immediate container acceptable to the fda for the product contained therein and shall be of such compatibility that neither the contents nor the container are altered in any way be each other; the envelope shall be so designed as to be easily opened to facilitate removal of the sterile adhesive bandage; the envelope shall measure no wider than 1.5 in. And no longer than 3.75 in. In dimensions; six envelopes, each containing a sterile adhesive bandage, shall be packaged and sealed in a waterproof, flexible, polyethylene container; container shall measure no wider than 3.5 in. And no longer than 5.25 in. In dimensions. Fifty containers of six adhesive bandages shall constitute the unit of issue box

Properties:

A compress of absorbent gauze or other suitable material, affixed to a film or fabric, coated with a pressure-sensitive adhesive substance. It is sterile. The compress may contain a suitable antimicrobial agent and may contain one or more suitable colors. The adhesive surface is protected by a suitable removable covering. The adhesive strip may be perforated and the back may be coated with a water-repellant film. Excludes adhesive tape, surgical and bandage, gauze, self-adherent.
