Xincludes manually operated pump head which screws on top of a housing containing a cleanable marathon ceramic filter cartridge with a carbon core; inlet is a hose with a foam filter, outlet is through bottom of filter housing which is internally threaded to accept an msr dromedary bag or a wide mouth nalgene bottl (not included); filter removes protozoa (including giardia) , bacteria, some chemicals and many pesticides; a clean side cover is included for the bottom of the filter housing
