Provides capability to make measurements of monochrome luminance and area luminance within the following specs; luminance (worst case) accuracy +/-10%, repeatability +/- 7%, range 0.02 to 10, 000 foot lamberts, resolution 4e-6 electrical; area luminance (worst case) accuracy +/- 12%, repeatability +/- 8%, range 0.02 to 10, 000 foot lamberts, resolution 4e-6 electrical; aperture size (field coverage) 1 degree; focusing range infinity to 6 feet; modes of operation are automatic ranging and measurement with rs-232 output to f-16 iais computer, visual output measurement values also provided at the instrument for operator monitoring; power input 12 vdc, currempt 0.25 amps max; calibrated using an input stimulus of a known luminance level in foot lamberts with p-1 phosphor simulation
