Press is designed to produce high quality metallographic mounts, using any of the following compression powers phenolic resin, diallyl phthalate, plastimet, transoptic; heat is provided by a thermostatically controller heater which may be removed for faster cooling of the mold; pressure is applied by turning the knob clockwise to its furthest travel and operating the pump handle up and down stroke; heater preset at 302 degrees f, 150 degrees c under actual molding condition, heater maybe readjusted, press works at 220 volts
