General Description

The mk172 adapter consists of an olive drab or black plastic, hexagonal shaped device approximately .50 inch long and .58 inch diameter on one end and .38 inch diamters on the other. this inert adapter is externally threaded at one end to facilitate threading into the m142 firing device (without coupling body); the other end is internally threaded to receive the mk24 initiator.
