An electronic shelter which contains the necessary electronic equipment to receive, analyze, and utilize information necessary to detect, track, and destroy targets by firing missiles in the assault fire platoon, within the zone of effectiveness. this unit houses intercommunication facilities, air conditioning, heaters, and space necessary for independent operational-command of separate targets. the item is also used in assault fire platoon operations for close tactical guided missile support againstg fixed wing aircraft, cruise and anti-tactical missiles and other targets of opportunity. it cannot be reconnected to function nor is it functionally interchangeable with the platoon command post.
