Hole in 2nd end is threaded to 0.164-32 unc-2b; heat treat and nitride entire part per mil-h-6875 & mil-s-6090 using double stage nitriding process, resulting white layer to be 0.005 in.Max.; case req. At spline tooth pitch line: surface hardness rockwell 30n 70min., depth from surface to hardness ofrc 45 0.010/0.015, core hardness rc35-40; screw threads not nitrided; external involute spline data: 16 teeth; diametral pitch is 20/40; pressure angle is 30 deg.

Properties:

It is not designed for use in aligning by fitting into corresponding holes of another item. It may be drilled for lubricating holes.
