Compact, handheld battery operated test set designed to confidence check angular displacement and sensitivity of homing & df equipment/systems; simply select any 1 of 4 distress frequencies am 121.5 mhz, fm 156.8 mhz; uhf243.0 mhz; and new 406.0 mhz frequency band; this unit simulates a beacon transmission at either 0, 22.5, or 45 degrees both left and right; subsidiary test frequencies of 121.5, 156.8, 243 & 406 mhz may also be selected together w/ varying input levels
