3standard oil mist eliminators contain elements composed of a dual layer of glass fibers impregnated with phenolic resin. The elements inner shell of glass fibers are tightly packed, building up oil mist droplets larger than 0.2 micron until gravity forces them to travel down the fibers, saturating the elements lower portion (process may take several hours). The element's fiber outer shell has larger gaps and more binder, which adds strength. As the height of the saturated zone grows, pressure rises, causing the oil to flow through the outer shell, where it builds up at the bottem of the oil mist eliminator. This is a set of thre (3) elements for an oil mist eliminator used on a tvbs kc 15 vacuum pump. Each element is 3 1/2 in long x 2 1/2 in dia

Properties:

A replaceable device designed to remove solid particles from fluids ranging in density from heavy liquids to gases. The removal of particles is accomplished by porous material (metallic or non-metallic), stacked disks, wound wire, or the like, constructed so the fluid can flow through the device while the solid particles are retained. It may be designed to fit into a filter, fluid (or similar cavity), or it may have an integral outer casing and mounting facilities and be designed to connect directly to an engine, compressor, or the like. The degree of removal of particles must be nominally rated at less than 50 microns or absolutely rated at less than 75 microns. Excludes filter element, air conditioning.
