1the an/tsq-231ajeccs is housed in an s-788 shelder, mounted on a humvee (hmmwv) and will provide telecommunications services, local area network (sipr and nipr) and network management services, messaging services, inmarsat, gbs, and uhf-tacsat capabilities. The system will support three simultaneous digital trunk groups and uses a marine corps tri-band satelite system, an/trc-170 or an/mrc-142 as transmission interfaces.
